PlecoDict 1.0 for Palm OS

The demo and paid versions of PlecoDict use the same set of data files; after you place your order, you receive a special "keyfile" that you can use to unlock PlecoDict on your Palm, but the rest of the software remains the same.

The instruction manual contains detailed instructions for installing PlecoDict to your handheld. Use the Automated Install option if you're installing PlecoDict from a Windows system onto a recent Palm (one from the Tungsten, Zire, LifeDrive, Treo, Centro, T, or Z series). Use the Manual Install option if you're installing to an older-model Palm, or if you encounter problems with the Automated Install version. Unfortunately, the automated option is not available for Mac OS, because PalmSource hasn't yet released a Mac version of their installer utility.

Download the Basic or Complete/Professional version depending on which PlecoDict bundle you're interested in purchasing - if you're not sure, choose Complete/Professional.

If you're installing from Windows Vista, make sure that you're using the latest version of Palm Desktop; it's available here.

If you encounter any problems during installation, feel free to contact us for assistance, or consult the instruction manual or our discussion forums.

If the install takes more than hour, cancel it, go to your Palm's "Delete" screen, delete any item with Pleco, ABC, NWP, or Oxford in its name, go to your Palm Desktop user folder (Program Files \ Palm \ (your username) on most systems), delete all files inside of the Install, CardInst, QuickInstall, and Packages folders, then try installing again.
