Pleco 2.0 is available in four different bundle packages. The software in all four of these is identical; the only difference between them is in which dictionaries they include.

Basic (US $59.95) - includes the Oxford Concise English & Chinese Dictionary only. This is best for people new to learning Chinese, or whose primary exposure to Chinese is in a classroom setting (textbooks and worksheets and the like) as opposed to real-world newspapers / conversations / TV shows.

Professional (US $99.95) - includes the ABC Chinese-English and NWP English-Chinese Dictionaries. The much larger Chinese-English dictionary in this bundle (approximately 8x as many entries as in the Basic) makes it more useful for people actually living / working / studying in China, as you're less likely to encounter vocabulary that isn't covered.

Linguist (US $149.95) - includes the ABC Chinese-English, 21st Century English-Chinese, NWP English-Chinese, and Xiandai Hanyu Guifan Cidian Chinese-Chinese dictionaries. This bundle is mainly intended for advanced students: the 21st Century dictionary includes no Pinyin, and the Xiandai Hanyu dictionary is Chinese-to-Chinese (so all of its definitions / examples / etc are exclusively in Chinese characters). However, since it also includes both dictionaries from the Professional bundle, it's a fine choice for intermediate students too, and provides some extra room to grow.

Complete (US $199.95) - includes all 8 of the dictionaries that we currently offer, representing one of the most impressive collections of Chinese dictionaries ever assembled in electronic format. Good for students at any level of study.

The Professional bundle is currently our most popular product, and should be adequate for the vast majority of users. However, the two extra dictionaries in the Linguist bundle are both excellent if your Chinese ability is sufficient to use them, and the Complete bundle is a great bargain for the number of dictionaries it contains.
