Screenshots
The following screenshots are taken from both the Palm and the Pocket PC versions of PlecoDict; the Palm version is on the left, the Pocket PC is on the right. For more screenshots, see our downloadable instruction manual.
Main screen of PlecoDict - this is where you actually look up words. The tone numbers in Pinyin searches are optional, and the fonts can be made larger if you have difficulty reading characters at the default resolution.
Performing a search. Note the mix of Pinyin and characters in the search field - PlecoDict's powerful indexing system allows searches like this to be done just as quickly as all-character or all-Pinyin searches.
Another search, this time showing off our wildcard search system. Note that we've also switched the dictionary into Traditional character mode here - our software fully supports both Simplified and Traditional characters, and you can toggle between them with a toolbar button.
Handwriting input screen - no need for a radical table, just draw the character you want to look up and PlecoDict will recognize it.
You can also use handwriting input from within the main screen.
Radical input, in case you encounter problems writing a word in the handwriting recognizer.
Character Magnification, allowing you to see every stroke of a character in detail.
Flashcard system - you can create flashcards based on dictionary entries with a single button tap, saving lots of time over manually-entered flashcards. We offer several premade flashcard lists as free downloads on this page.
