Demo Version

We offer demo versions of both the Palm OS and Pocket PC versions of PlecoDict. The demo version lets you try out most of PlecoDict's features, including the flashcard system and the handwriting recognizer, but differs from the paid version in the following ways:

• Only the first few entries of each dictionary are accessible. (generally the ones beginning with 'a' and 'b' - this applies to Pinyin for the Chinese-to-English ones)
• The handwriting recognizer cannot be used to actually look up words; you can, however, write in a character and see what matches it comes up with (which allows you to confirm that the recognizer works accurately with your handwriting).
• Free and user-created dictionaries are disabled, as are flashcard import/export operations.

The demo version of PlecoDict is unlockable, meaning that you can convert it to the paid version of PlecoDict without having to uninstall / reinstall the entire program; for this reason, we recommend that anyone interested in purchasing PlecoDict try out the demo version before placing an order.
